My RiGhTeR oF wRoNgs, QuEeN BeYoNd CoMpArE.

Throughout your whole life, you will get the opportunity to interact with thousands of different personalities.  There are some that you click with, others you try and avoid, and a very rare few you come across that impact you deeply, where you look at their character and think, “Woah, this one is special.”  This type of person has a distinctive glow to them.  They have a secret, hidden knowledge of life and how to live it.  As you watch their actions and choices, you study them and pay extra attention knowing this is an opportunity to learn by their example how to become a better person.

One of these people is my mom.  She is an awesome mom!  She is the strongest, toughest person I know.  Even if I knew she was in pain, she would never complain or try and draw attention to herself.  She is remarkably talented.  She is the best example to me of being genuine, and never fake.  She is a spiritual giant.  Always trying to do something for others without wanting gain or praise.  As I grew up she would share her spiritual experiences with me, which helped my testimony to grow.  She told me her mistakes she regretted, or trials she overcame, and always gave the perfect advice when I faced something difficult.  She knew when I needed her to be my mom, and when I needed her to be my friend.   We laugh together a lot.  I can remember time after time when we would laugh until our stomachs hurt and tears were streaming down our faces, times when it was inappropriate to laugh and we would both have to leave the room or walk away, and times when we would laugh at each other.  If someone slipped and fell on ice and reached up for a helping hand, they wouldn’t get it because the other person would be hunched over trying to stop laughing and contain themselves.

I am so grateful for my mom!  If I am able to become anything like her, I know I did something right. Happy, happy birthday mom!  I love you so much!
