Well, how do I describe it?

It's in your gut, but more than that, it's in your heart. It's familiar. A security blanket covering your shoulders and insulating the warm energy that reboots your soul. The longer you're away from it, that familiar flame inside of you fades ever so slowly until it's nothing but a pulsing glow. But it never quite leaves you. That moment of return rejuvenates you with an explosion of comfort and it's as if you never left. Opening a cabinet of memories can shorten your breath, the familiar fragrances attacking your nostrils make one dizzy with emotions, and the embrace of loving arms is like a flower being encircled in the arms of warmth of a loving sun. It's that first deep breath of fresh air in the new, cold autumn that gropes the inside of your lungs with it's long, chilling fingers. Or the tingling sensation of bare feet on a warm, sparkly, sandy beach. It's my temple. It's home.
