THINGS I'LL MISS ABOUT BEND:
The mountains.  Every morning on my way to work I would drive on the overpass at Empire and had a perfect view of the Sisters.  It was so refreshing.  Day after day I would catch myself saying under my breath, "I love Bend."  Those mountains are extraordinarily beautiful.

Floating the river.  I have so many great memories floating the river with friends.  When my cousin, Dani, came to visit before I got married, one of the mandatory items of ward business on the agenda was a relaxing float.  I remember one summer in high school in my friend Jessie's car when we got in a fender bender and I was squished in the back seat between a thousand inner-tubes when a car ran into her back bumper.  Or one time with Mitch when he spontaneously leaped out of the raft to catch a stray flying blue balloon in the air... I didn't even see it coming.

Baldy's.  Drooling.... literally drooling as I am typing this.  "Hello, my name is Jesse, and I am a baldys-oholic." Every SINGLE time we go to Baldy's BBQ they make PERFECT ribs!  And their sauce is to DIE for!    I really don't know what I'm gonna do without ma Baldy's.

Family.  No brainer.  I love my family so much and this will be the first time we're not within a three hour drive from my parents house.  We loved being so close to Mitch's parents and to Monte and Solana's family.  People were always close enough to plan a quick weekend trip to hang out.  I'm really, really gonna miss that.

THINGS I'M EXCITED FOR ABOUT VEGAS:

Friends and family.  Can I just give a  quick shout out to my future neighbor and bestie Danielle Davis!!!  Ever since we were tiny, little children we would tell one another, "Hey!  When we grow up our parents no longer decide where we live.  Let's be next door neighbors!"  Great, great news.... this dream is about to be fulfilled!  I'll be with Dani and a bunch of other wonderful cousins, and friends, and roommates from college, etc.

The heat.  I know, I know.... but seriously.  I have decided I am not a winter person, and although I'm sure August will be a nightmare, I can not wait for the warm winter ahead.  No more ice, no more snow, no more big, fat, puffy jackets that take up your universe.  LV will be just me and the AC.

The new pad.  The apartment we're moving into has a swimming pool, a spiral staircase, and a loft.  How sweet is that?!?  And it is LITERALLY right down the street from Mitch's airport.  Fantastic!

Change.  It's so refreshing.  I can't wait for a clean slate to start over with everything.  I'll always look back on the past and recognize all the memorable details that shaped the person I am, but at the same time, I can't wait to be brand new!  New job, new schedule, new apartment, new everything!  It's gonna be so great!  Starting August 4th, we will no longer be Oregonians.
