RoAd. TrIp.

Crazy.  We are crazy, crazy, crazy.
This was most definitely the most interesting/fantastic/overwhelming journey of our married lives.  We packed our tiny car with as much stuff as we could fit, said our goodbyes (lots of tears took place the first hour on the road) and left our Nevada home.
We really missed the green outdoors when we were in Vegas, so I can't tell you how giddy Mitch was about half way through Arizona when we started seeing forests and pine trees.
Day one finished!  We stayed the night in ALBUQUERQUE.  And please feel free to write this word 10 times in a row on a small scrap of paper.  It will tickle your insides and you won't regret it... I know I didn't.
Unfortunately, we barely skimmed the top of Texas and it smelled like cow pies.  But the scenery was refreshing.  It was easy to brain fade with the peaceful, huge farm fields stretched out as far as you could see.  This was also when we discovered that time flies by when you listen to audio books.  We were on the edge of our car seats listening to The Woman in Black.  Scaaaary!
"Oooooklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plaaaains.  Where the gra-- where the wa--."
This was my favorite state of the trip (besides the tolls on the highway).  I was obsessed with how green it was.
Change of plans!  Sneaky!  Sneaky!  Here's where we decided, "Hey, we're on this side of the country anyway!  Let's run up to Indiana and surprise everyone for Colin's baptism."  We stayed the night in a super creepy hotel, but no regrets... we were still alive the next morning.
I'm sorry.  I really don't remember anything eventful happening in this state.  We were too excited to see family.  I think we made a wrong turn at one point?  I can't remember.
Yessss! We ended up staying an extra day to be with family.  Indiana is pretty too!  We had a great time skipping rocks, picking flowers, catchings frogs, and hunting Easter eggs.  I love family!
We were able to spend the afternoon touring Louisville.  It was so fun going to work with Chris and seeing his building and his office.  We all ate delicious soup and sandwiches!
We kinda missed the sign.  We were distracted.  Because we like to try and harmonize with each other's made up songs on the spot.  That's why we were busy and missed it.  So we had to run back down the highway about a quarter mile to take the picture.  We're really cool.
This was the part where we went insane.  Four days on the road does something to a person mentally that can't really be described or understood unless you've personally experienced it.  Luckily, I was prepared for this.  I made a special iTunes playlist for this precise moment which contained 100% Backstreet Boys Music.
FIN.AL.LY!  Done.
After a week of apartment searching and waiting for carpeting and everything to finish up, we are RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED to say we'll have a new home tomorrow afternoon.  Hooray adventure!
