Rewind time back to four years ago today...

I can remember the first words out of my mouth as I opened my eyes that morning. "I'm getting married today!"  My stomach was turtling and I couldn't finish my cereal, but overall, I wasn't really that nervous.  My feelings were simple.  Today is just another great day that I get to spend hanging out with Mitch... except I'll be wearing a huge, puffy wedding dress.
We broke the rules.  I saw him before the wedding.  We held hands in the car as he drove me to the temple that morning.
The actual wedding was kind of a blur.  I remember the presence of family and loved ones there  watching, but the only face I can remember seeing is Mitchell's, looking back at me as we knelt across the altar and were sealed together for time and all eternity.  It felt so right, like this was the best decision I'd ever made and that my life would never, ever be the same.

Our first year...
Was the honeymoon year.  Everything was fresh and our new routine together was so exciting.  I loved breathing in the fresh, spring air as I walked home from the bus stop on a warm day.  We would ride our bikes down the street to Pilot Butte and play at the park.  And everyday I would sit outside the window like a giddy little puppy waiting for Mitch to get home from work. There were many kitchen disasters, human-eating spiders, and soaking wet living rooms from epic water fight battles.

Year two...
The "On-our-own" year.  We moved to Salem and no longer lived ten minutes away from my parents.  Besides college, I'd never been this far away from home.  There's so much I miss about living in the valley: The rain, the temple, summer nights, pranks with Ben and Lydia, the smell of decorating candles for each season... There's a special spot in my heart that holds onto this part of my life.  I would love to live around this area again if we ever get the chance.

Year three...
The move to Vegas.  This was definitely my favorite apartment!  I always got so excited to clean because I always wanted people to come over!  I loved our spiral staircase and matching colors.  Even though the town itself was kinda scary at times, I never felt safer than when I was inside our home.  I loved being with my cousins and having holiday parties and family dinners.  I loved going on dates on the Strip and having family home evening every Monday with Tyson and Dani.  Nannying the Smith Girls was the funnest job I ever had!  I wouldn't change a single thing about living here!

And now year four in JACKSONVILLE, FL....
I love you Mitchell! No matter what comes our way, we'll always be there to build each other up!  You are my best friend and complete my life in every way!  Let's make this the best year ever!!  It'll be a year to look back on and always remember!
